Here we are with interesting photos of the new Porsche 911 GT2 at German Nürburgring’s northern loop. It is not just the most extreme take on the current generation of the 911, but maybe a new lap time record.
Underneath the four-point taillights, gigantic rear spoiler, flared wheel arches, and red hot exhaust pipes lurks a twin-turbocharged monster, as in the 3.8-litre six-cylinder boxer of the 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S: supposing to find at least 592 horsepower in it. This thing is a tail happy monster with mountains of torque driving the rear axle. To make things even more interesting, the 911 GT2 is expected to get the rear-wheel steering.
The front fascia may look as the 911 GT3 RS, but there are new things going on there, including two little carbon fibre winglets affixed at each side of the front bumper and a gargantuan splitter.
